raising standards in sale and rent back

About the NLA

Name change:
The National Association for Sale & Rent Back (NASARB) is now known as
NLA RentBack

NLA Rentback

Code of practice

The NLA recognises that sale and rent back transactions offer a valuable opportunity to property owners to clear debts without having to lose their homes.

The transactions do, however, provide the opportunity for unscrupulous buyers to take unfair advantage of distressed sellers.  This Code sets out minimum standards to which members of NLA Rent Back must comply in sale and rent back transactions.  It provides for redress for people who have suffered when the NLA standards have not been maintained and for sanctions to be applied in the event that members fall short of those standards.
